Supercharger Nitrous Install

The nitrous bottles are then positioned in the bed.

After marking the positions of the mounting holes from the brackets, holes are drilled through the bed in order to securely bolt the brackets to the bed. We used a drill stop collar on our drill bit so that we only drilled enough to penetrate the bed in order to prevent drilling into the fuel tank.

Holes are then drilled into the bed for the nitrous feed lines, which are then dropped under the truck.

The brackets and bottles are then bolted through to the bed.

The feed line is then secured along the frame rail.

Since we are using dual bottles, we installed a T fitting under the truck along one of the cross frame braces.

With all of the lines secured, we disconnected the feed line from the solenoids and held the end with a towel.

Keeping the line pointed away from us and others, we cracked open the bottles for a split second to purge the line of any debris or contaminates.

With the plumbing done, it's time to wire up the electronics. We start by removing the two 7mm bolts under the dash

We then remove the lower dash by gently pulling at the top corners to release the clips.

Here is a view of the exposed dash where we gained access to the ignition harness.

All of the underhood wiring that was previously routed to the firewall is now routed through the existing rubber grommet in the firewall.

The wiring is then pulled through the grommet from inside of the cab

We decided on using a progressive nitrous controller from NOS. Here we are wiring the terminals according to the supplied wiring diagram.

The purge button is installed on the dash and wired to the purge solenoid through the trucks ignition wire. The LED wiring is also paralleled into the switch to illuminate the purge plumes. The ground lead of the purge solenoid is simply grounded to the trucks chassis.

We positioned the supplied nitrous power relay behind the dash and ran our existing solenoid wires to it. We then connected the wiring according to the supplied wiring manual.

We installed the progressive nitrous controller in the center console under the cup holder. This gives us easy access to make changes while also remaining hidden.

And that's it. We put the truck back together and started smokin' tires.
