Conquering The Green Brackets Of Death |

Driver's Side
Step 1- Remove the driver's side green bracket by
removing the 4 bolts in the locations shown. It helps to remove the
battery and washer fluid reservoir.

|
|

Step 2- Slightly bend the A/C line on the driver's
side being cautious not to kink it and slide the green bracket out .
|
|

Step 3- Remove 1 of 2 bolts securing the fuel line
at the top of the motor on the driver's side. |
|
|

Step 4- Remove the 2nd bolt
securing the fuel line at the top of the motor on the driver's side.
|
|

Step 5- Remove the bolt at the
front of the motor securing the fuel line on the driver's side.
|
|
|

Step 6- Remove the 2 bolts
securing the fuel rail to the motor on the driver's side.
|
|

Step 7- Gently pull up on the fuel
rail to release the injectors. disconnect wiring from injectors and pull
injectors out of the fuel rail.

Passenger Side |
|
|

Step 8- Remove the 2 bolts and 1
nut securing the coolant reservoir tank on the passenger side and move it
up and out of the way for more clearance.
|
|

Step 9- Remove the 2 small bolts
securing the hoses to the green bracket on the passenger side. It helps to
remove the air intake.
|
|
|

Step 10- Remove the passenger side green bracket by
removing the 5 bolts in the locations shown. Gently hold up the cables and
hoses while sliding the bracket out. Patience is the Key. |
|
|

Step 11- Remove the bolt at the
front of the motor securing the fuel line.
|
|

Step 12- Remove the 2 bolts
securing the fuel rail to the motor.
|
|
|

Step 13- Gently pull up on the
fuel rail to release the injectors. disconnect wiring from injectors and
pull injectors out of the fuel rail.

|
Installation is reverse of removal.
